BNL30 is a mineral repair mortar. This product is specially developed for restoration, filling, and reprofiling of mineral substrates such as natural stone, brick, and concrete. It is also suitable for reproduction of decorative ornaments as stamp mortar.
Air, substrate, and material temperatures should be between +5°C and +30°C. Lower temperatures extend and higher temperatures shorten processing and hardening times. Wear impermeable gloves and safety glasses. Pour water into a clean bucket and add the dry mortar. Mix intensively with a mixer for about 3 minutes until a homogeneous mass is achieved, until the processing consistency is reached. Allow to ripen for about 2 minutes, mix again, and if necessary add some water. First, apply the product to a test surface to check for any color deviations. Apply a bonding layer as slurry (dry mortar/water) on the pre-wetted substrate in a layer thickness of approximately 2 mm. Apply the mortar in layer thicknesses of 1.5 to 3 cm wet-on-wet in the bonding layer, apply 1 to 2 mm thicker than the final surface. After sufficient hardening (when the grain "pops"), roughen the surface or scrape off the final surface. Adjust the finishing of the places where the mortar is applied (with scraping tools) to match the structure of the adjacent parts. Waiting time between applying the next layer min. 24 hours.
The amount of BNL30 you need is approximately 1.6 kg/ltr of space to be filled. Determine the exact consumption quantity on a sufficiently large test surface.
